While they were in the set as individual cards at vision design handoff, hearing so much support for them ensured their place in the set and inspired me to put them on the same card since they were so often talked about together

The only "downside" is you have to give your opponent a card draw, something minimal in the grand scheme of a game

Its akin to Wizard Class and Thought Vessel, but an option for more aggressive decks, such as Minn, Wily Illusionist

But Id rather have two cards at instant speed, separated by time, relying on an external scry rather than two cards at once at sorcery speed relying on an attack trigger

That's a serious threat in Commander
