The abilities on it are solid for stabilizing in the mid to late game, and so its still pretty playable all things considered
The problem is that the material source is a little minor, but it is usually excellent as a Fusion Monster, and it may be interesting to try building a dedicated Deck such as adopting Fusion Weapon or King of Beast

Paying life is much easier than the alternate costs on these spells, and hard removal is often more effective than burn
You get the enchantment + Ghostly Prison for pillow fort decks, a good-sized vigilance creature for defense, and a creature that can attack alone and get rewards for samurai decks
