(c. 1890s) Whipple Dollar HK-832 So-Called-Dollar - NGC MS 62 Columbus Reverse: Head rightNGC has graded just 79 of this neat, if not completely understood, So Called Dollar modeled after the reverse of the Morgan dollar. Essentially, one camp believes these were unfinished store cards. This would, effectively, make them one of the last store cards of the era. The other camp believes these were likely political pieces in the vein of the Bryan and, later, Lesher dollars. Regardless of which camp you prefer no one, to date, has come up with
