All Leylines were enchantments up until Foundations , which released Leyline Axe as the first artifact leyline, and Marvel Super Heroes has a creature with the leyline text

The flexibility of an artifact creature at the kitchen table, particularly, with respect to colorless ones, is pretty important to evaluating it as a card

Overall, its a recipe for the best deck in the format and I wouldnt consider playing anything else.
