To distance it from a magus, I made three major changes to the card: (this, by the way, is the version turned over in the design handoff) Soothsayer 3U Creature Human Wizard 2/3 Morph U X: Look at the top X cards of your library and put them back in any order
Hopefully, Wizards of the Coast will address this problem by printing enough of these drops to go around
For instance, Distract the Guards making three token creatures is perfectly fine for three mana instead of two, especially in decks that care about tokens
Generic counter decks can make this work too if your counters are spread out on enough creatures and you're going to be going wide enough to make this worth it
The key to the strategy is drawing either Zapper or Ben Kei, both of which have decent attack values and benefit greatly from equipping multiple equip cards
they're perfect for building decks, playing games with friends, and are tons of fun to open COLLECT RARE CARDS and SHINING FOILSEvery Play Booster also includes at least 1 card with a shiny Traditional Foil treatment and at least 1 card of rarity Rare or higher (with a max of 4) #6
