Ive never played it, but just attacking or blocking once, trading it and drawing a card seems very strong for three mana
What everyone else said is right -- you have to have the name, mana cost, and P/T (if it's a creature) visible
Finally, note the difference between the two cards when examining the shading of the evolution box and the dark areas on Blastoise
You dont really want to spend your mana on this ability you want to be playing things that are more meaningful
He has a high cost, but can quest for three lore
