Return is not really about that as much as it is just a beastly value card

Play Boosters are great for building powerful decks, fun to open, and are balanced for Limited play
Rune-Scarred Demon fetches any card, green has a set of land-fetching creatures, and there are a few others such as Trinket Mage, Treasure Mage, Stoneforge Mystic, Squadron Hawk, and Fierce Empath
Lutri, the Spellchaser was controversially (and correctly, in my opinion) banned from Commander on release as itd otherwise be an auto-include in any deck playing blue and red (almost any Commander deck fulfills the companion restriction, as this was clearly not designed for Commander)
