You don't play it as a one drop as you might with Force Spike as it isn't a useful one drop when on the play as discussed
Speaking of Walking Ballista, I wasn't 100% sure how the interaction works ( Magic is weird, so it seemed possible that "entering the battlefield with counters" was somehow different than "putting a counter on" a creature), so I double checkednot only does Solemnity keep you from putting counters on creatures (as with Walking Ballista's ability), but it also makes it so artifacts, creatures, enchantments, and lands enter the battlefield without any counters as well

once Daru Spiritualist is out, you can target a cleric with the shaman ability an infinite number of times, and every single time the targeted cleric will gain +0/+2 (read Darus static ability)
Might have some interesting potential with all the station cards, since it lets you draw off them not being creatures yet, or if you have some other reason to modify lots of creatures but not hit with them
