If I have an opening hand of one land plus Spell Pierce and Ponder, I will play my land and hold up Pierce rather than Pondering on Turn 1
Once during each players turn, that player may heal 20 damage from 1-of his or her benched Pokmon. Admittedly, its not great, and a lot of decks would rather run Skyarrow Bridge or Tropical Beach, but Pokmon Center does have a niche in this metagame, and also manages to counter a few things
