I think alone, this card can do a sterling job as a Commander of Gruul Enchantments (you know, the color pair that loves to restrict itself to only playing creatures?)
One thing Id like to mention up front: Ezuri will make a great commander for a deck that focuses hard on +1/+1 counters or poison counters, and I wont dig deep into that aspect, since its pretty easy to search for cards that support either one of those strategies
