Its not uncommon for red commanders such as Krenko, Mob Boss to have a stray Goblin Recruiter or Dockside Extortionist around to sacrifice and pay the cost for this spell, but the place where it will shine the most is in partner decks including Rograkh, Son of Rohgahh

You can defend yourself with this commander paired with a card like Entangler, and then swing past your opponents defenses with the color protection activated ability and boosted by a card like Blackblade Reforged

I do not recommend these
