If you choose the first and/or second modes but all of the targets become illegal before Mystic Confluence resolves, the spell won't resolve
The part that makes this a truly fearsome commander is that the slivers you cast while cascading also have cascade
As far as more subtle clues go, people will complain about the pack having nothing good when its full of good cards in two or three colors, allowing you to deduce their guilds
