The ward ability means an opponent will likely have to two-for-one themselves to deal with the creature, and granting all your opponents' creatures base toughness 1 is just screaming "synergy" in the right Commander build
Thank god this card doesnt see much play in Modern because of its color restrictions
It's unsurprising that a black Wraith card wants to sup on your vitality, but hey, there are plenty of times when paying two life to draw a card is preferable to using up your precious mana
Yidaro, Wandering Monster As a commander, Yidaro, Wandering Monster isnt as great because you can't cycle it from the command zone, but it's a very neat addition as a part of the deck because it's a free cantrip that cant be countered
