It is overall slightly weaker than Shock but it does at least have some other mild perks (for killing all those 2 toughness indestructible dorks!)

Its the kind of thing thats going to end up in nearly every EDH deck, and I always like to see these cards around

The vast majority of decks play lands for mana fixing

We remember those games we lose to the hard screw but we don't attribute the loss to the screw when we were forced into a mildly sub par play in the midgame due to slightly awkward set of lands and spells

The deck has a standard amount of ramp with the potential to generate absurd amounts of mana with the help of Pitiless Plunderer and Revel in Riches (which doubles as a bonus win-con!)
