It's so effective for multiplayer because it mills each opponent and grows based of all of the opposing graveyards, not just one player's
They also include handy pockets for extra storage to keep loose notes and tokens
Impulse drawing can give huge card advantage, but the bonus here is that if you dont play the exiled cards, you can deal direct damage to each opponent
You get an emblem with "Instant and sorcery spells you cast have storm." (Whenever you cast an instant or sorcery spell, copy it for each spell cast before it this turn.) Ral's first ability resolves before the spell that caused it to trigger
It still has what might be a drawback (discarding a card to cast it), although it's all upside once it's on the battlefield, and Sparkhunter Masticore has basically gone unplayed since it was printed in Core Set 2021
Having all the cards from one Ink Colour in one place can make very easy create a deck that uses those cards instead of having to go though all the Set dedicated binders or boxes
