Putting Concealing Curtains in a controlling deck is a pretty easy sell for me, and the menace on Revealing Eye is inviting for aggressive strategies as well

You get to proliferate every time an opponent commits a crime

If you don't mind a deck that feels more directionless and asks you to adapt on the fly, you'll get on with this deck just fine

Other commander-potential creatures in the deck include Chainer, Nightmare Adept and Greven, Predator Captain (Chainer particularly was reprinted in Modern Horizons 2 as a worthwhile card for discard/madness builds)

Notice that our clock gets a counter every upkeep (both during your and your foes turns), so in a 4-person table you have about three rotations to make Midnight Clock tick

Thing is, planeswalkers get their loyalty counters when they enter the battlefield as a replacement effect, but transforming does not count as entering the battlefield (that's why Sorin's regular transformation tells you to exile it, and then return it transformed)
