If your deck is on the slow side, choosing to draw (go second) rather than play (go first) can be reasonable to give you that extra card

Pinnacle Starcage also hits cards like map tokens from Get Lost, Agatha's Soul Cauldron from Izzet Vivi, and various other tokens and cheap cards
