In burn decks you can either deal 4 damage to the face, give double strike to a card like Monastery Swiftspear, or protect your creatures from a sweeper
If it takes a specific kind of deck to be able to best use the artifact, then you aren't taking a card you are always going to be able to play, and the card evaluation begins anew
