With a sufficiently adaptable commander like Betor, you can play the hits, but you can also find a special home for funky creatures or cards otherwise consigned to gimmickry, like Baldin, Century Herdmaster, Tree of Redemption, and Hunted Horror. Betor isnt the only commander that asks you to chart a path rather than do the work for youthough I hope the cards popularity signals a sea change in card design
