It feels very similar to a scrapped mechanic from Bloomburrow that batched together all animal creature types, albeit getting around the arguments of what is and isnt an animal by just listing a ton of them individually
Like Mystic Subdual, this card has Flash meaning it's a worthwhile combat trick in addition to everything else
Given the lack of any new black-bordered cards with this mechanic in the last 16 years, mechanic certainly isnt evergreen and probably won't see consistent printing again
Gogos base ability is already on par with cards like Strionic Resonator, and its scalable, so you pay 2 mana for one copy, 4 mana for two copies, and so on
I love this at multiplayer when you have a few options, and with Mana Rocks and Lands that can make any color of mana, because getting any color of mana from your Dimir control brew that grabs a red activated ability is pretty valuable, so run this with City of Brass and Darksteel Ingot and Fellwar Stone
Return it to the battlefield under its owner's control tapped and attacking at the beginning of that player's next declare attackers step
