So if the opponent attacks with an attack that has a base damage of 40, but a Pokmon has a Resistance to the type of Pokmon the opponent is attacking with of -30, the attack will only do 10 damage instead of 40
If I can only play one, I prefer the Ogre as it's a random discard and 3/2 can trade with bigger creatures than Hellhole Rats which nets a land often so you don't get any damage in there
