As a targeted removal piece, this is fine, but I wouldnt expect to see it in every deck with red in it, but if I see a single artifact token hit the field, this card is easily slotted into the same deck
All of these are already seeing play, and all of them in conjunction with the turtle could make a new form of ramp deck

Thats why Curse of the Swine remains the most played blue wrath. You can get rid of as many problems as you have mana, and 2/2 tokens are much easier to deal with after
That caveat aside, he works nicely with incidental lifegain such as [card]Prismatic Talisman[/card] or lifelink creatures
