It should be noted that Allosaurus Shepherd is in contention with mana dorks for your turn 1 play, but you cant deny the power of this card, first released in JumpStart
My one exception is this piece by Brad Rigney, which I would love to one day see in non-foil, as it is so captivating

Well, theyre great too, but outside of Elf decks or decks that care about dorks or overrun based on total creatures, theyre largely interchangeable with (and sometimes much worse than) land ramp like Exploration, Three Visits or Cultivate
