Not only can it interact with threats on the board and on the stack, but it also lets you mess with your opponents lands, which few cards do
You surely have better things to do with your cards and energy, correct
The only issue is that the overall creature density is low so its probably not worth risking it, but I think any Ninja is reasonable to consider, especially if you play more creatures (maybe more Bloodbraid Elves, but evasion would better) Izzet: This has been popular in Pillar of the Paruns decks, but when you dont need all your spells to be gold cards, I dont think its worth it compared to one-mana interaction
Depending on the reach and flying blockers, this pays for itself in two attacks and spreads a bunch of damage across the board thanks to myriad
