The only downside Academy has is that it cant produce any mana if you have no artifacts in play, but it isnt very difficult in any format to build a deck that can virtually always get artifacts into play in the early game, so the downside almost never comes up
Of course, it also helps that My Hero Academia provides the perfect setting and cast of characters for a CCG to be based around so its no wonder that it became successful among fans of the manga and anime, as well as CCG players looking for a new experience
