In all seriousness the artwork for this card is very pretty, and all the art from this set is better than average

It also adds another collectible to the game (and history shows us we have a lot of players who love collecting things)

If the target is legal but not destroyed (most likely because it has indestructible), you do lose life

Green has some good ways to gain life but blacks sacrifice-for-life engines are the way to go

To take advantage of its need to see your opponents bleed, running other Bloodthirst-y cards, like Petrified Wood-KinPetrified Wood-Kin, Furyborn HellkiteFuryborn Hellkite, or some spectacle cards like Light Up the StageLight Up the Stage, add some good support
