Personally, I play this card in Commander decks that care about manipulating the top of my deck

Then you can gain two life and scry two, not bad card precision

First strike against first strike is essentially the same as normal combat

The interaction between first strike and on-hit effects is honestly not something I can recall many (or any) cards utilizing, and I think its a really cool way to make this work
