Marik and Kaiba each wanted to duel Yugi so they could get Slifer, while Joey wanted to duel Yugi in the finals and didn't want Yugi to have to duel Marik, so he used a strategy to make both him and Marik run out of lifepoints pretty quickly

While it technically works in this deck, in this case, it's not the best kind of correct

Special Summon 2 Level 4 or lower "Wolf", "Wulf" or "Lycan" monsters from your hand or Graveyard, but their effects are negated and are returned to your Deck during the End Phase

Finally, there are Manga alternate art cards, which are extremely rare and these are often seen going for incredibly high values on secondary marketplaces such as eBay
