(6/6/2025) Once a chapter ability has triggered, the ability on the stack won't be affected if the Saga gains or loses counters, or if it leaves the battlefield
The first of which is Esika, God of the Tree
Its a mana rock that gains life, draws cards, and puts counters on creatures
Exile target creature or enchantment, then return it to the battlefield under its owner's control
He explains that when you face them early, you can quickly lose if you can't remove your opponent's evasive creatures, while in the later stages of a match you can still lose out of nowhere when your enemy suddenly applies a massive buff to something unblockable
(Speaking of playtest cards, I recently wrote all about the Unknown events that put them directly in the hands of its players.) Given the discard theme, the other two Green Goblin cards we are revealing today make a whole lot of sense
