In doing so, I lost the element of surprise, which is the most important element in this type of card

The catch is that one-touches come in a wide range of thicknesses 35pt, 55pt, 75pt, 100pt, 130pt, 180pt, 260pt, and 360pt and a generic "one-size" sleeve ends up too loose on the thinner holders and too tight on the thicker ones
