I havent seen a deck in the archetype survive beyond a one week metagame of sorts, but I have a had a bit of history with the archetype, dating as far back as 2012 when I built a Blue/Black casual 60-card deck to play on the floor or at the kitchen table of my friends apartments in multiplayer
