Original George VI Meritorious Service Medal, Sjt Prior, R.A. Notebooks The jacket is in aArmy Meritorious Service Medal, G. VI. R., 3rd issue (1038642 Sjt. H. A. Prior. R. A.) Harry Alfred Prior was born in Plymouth on 10 November 1889 and enlisted in the Royal Artillery at Woolwich on 30 August 1904. He served as Corporal in the Royal Field Artillery during the Great War and was awarded the Army L. S. & G. C. Medal in 1923. Discharged 29 November 1932, he was later awarded an annuity M. S. M.
