Early Religious Embroidered Appliqué Madonna with Putti: First quarter 18th century Europe Ottoman In good conditionDating from the early 18th century a wonderfully nave embroidery with appliqu figures including putti, in an antique oval, carved and gilded wooden frame. Hand embroidered and appliqud onto a cream silk ground, this was possibly once part of an ecclesiastical banner hanging in a church. The work is European, possibly French but we cant be certain.
