Hewit Pentland Goat Leather - Dark Brown Journals When using 18/3 threadHewit's Pentland leathers are our premium grade goatskin. They are dyed and tanned in Scotland. The skins are shaved to . 80 mm which is slightly thicker than our Harmatan split leathers, but still thin enough to reduce most paring. The leathers are all Grade II which means surface markings are minimal. The Pentland goat is aniline dyed and then hand polished to give an attractive two tone finish, highlighting the grain normally associated with
