18th Century George III Mahogany Candle Box. Furniture The binding is in aA charming George III mahogany candle box with an unusual central parquetry design. The candle box has sympathetic repairs to the top hanging point and hinges (the repair to the hinge is more evident to the interior please see photographs); the hinges themselves are later replacements. There is a wood shrinkage split to the left side panel. Overall the candle box remains very attractive with the wood boasting a wonderful patina throughout. Dimensions
