The slope opens to reveal interior pigeon holes, pen tray, lidded compartment and a purple baize lined writing surface. The box has replacement wood surrounding the key hole and wear commensurate commensurate with age throughout. All hinges function well. An attractive writing slope with a wonderful patina.
