By "Remote Coil" we mean it's not in the "Dissy Cap" like the various 1974 88 era GM vehicles had. The Remote Coil is next to the dissy. A Delco USA supplied part for those interested in Genuine parts. If your not sure.. most of the 1987 & up cars run this.. look for the Coil Lead coming out of the center of the dissy cap going to the coil it's as simple as that. .
