They show 14 mammals at rest, and then the same animals during movement. Text cards direct childrens observations and give them information about each animal. Children learn what adaptations are and about the kinds of adaptations mammals have that enable them to move in many ways. The examples include adaptations for running, jumping, flying, digging, and swimming. After children
