It spots what seems like a brush stroke extending from the tip of the lid across its entire body, stopping just short of the base, almost as if painted on by a master artist. This stroke with its ivory, blues and greens is actually the result of what the makers call a drip of sweat from the wood fire kiln. This occurs when layers of ash glaze
