There's romance in the air! The title is New Year s Day in Old New York and people are dressed to the hilt. Note the woman in the background, far right, holding a snowball behind her back. Ahh, there's also mischief afoot. This is from the picture by G. H. Boughton A. R. A.. Boughton was an Anglo American landscape and genre painter. He imagined this
