I built this Spring Creek to have a sweet

The refinish job has clearly been done by an excellent rodmaker however

"Carlson" is elegantly lettered on the butt section and the rod is wrapped in a handsome green with a keeper and three windaways on the butt section

Wrapped brown with yellow edges and a band of red at the keeper and male ferrules

The book is the twelfth edition to match the serial number (to find the edition number simply turn to the last printed page and one can find it listed there)

Some grip soiling and a chip from the varnish on the oxidization of the female ferrule. Flame toned cane. 3 up node pattern. Small closed seam showing at the top of the swell. The grip is very long measuring 6 3 4" (14 corks) and is quite slim at the front but fairly large at the middle. Figured walnut cap and ring seat. No rear cork check the walnut seat has a
