This rod came to me from a mutual friend of both Tom Maxwell and mine who originally bought it from Maxwell in the early 1990's

Also of note is that the aluminum acorn cap on the bottom of the seat pulls out to reveal a nickel silver ferrule with which the fighting butt can be attached
