Magma Opus This card is very novel and does so much, but at eight mana, will it see play in Historic

They don't look for basic lands , so if you've got an Overgrown Tomb or other Forest Swamp lands you can search for them to get access to black mana

The fact that it has flash means that you will almost always be able to catch your opponents by surprise and draw at least 1 card, at which point it already feels like youve gotten your moneys worth

You may cast up to X instant and/or sorcery spells from among cards exiled this way without paying their mana costs

This, of course, supports the little guys like us
