The rate isn't bad for what you get, either, and the Great Train Heist will be useful at every stage of a game, whether you're using it for an early mana advantage, as a combat trick (offensively or defensively), or as a source of extra damage to close out a game

Other than that, it was more or less the same dominance as in Standard: Boros energy and its three color variants immediately shot to the top rank for both usage and winrate, the various build-around energy cards all proved to be at least viable, and even control decks adopted the new energy-based interaction
Its first attack is pretty low damage, dealing just 110 - though taking 50 less damage on your next turn is quite decent
