But sometimes we don't want to add additional height to your mattress, therefore we offer engineered base boards that are 0. 5 thick. This MDF Platform Base will sit on top of your Glideaway steel bed slats (wood slats for Twin) and underneath your mattress. Giving you a well supported mattress base without adding unnecessary height.
