And Im saying this as someone whos been a mainly Rakdos player for the past 12 years

Wizards finally reverted the card to its printed (and broken) text just prior to its banning in Commander

Mana ramp (even if limited to artifacts and activated abilities - yes you can pay for Urzas own abilities with Powerstones) on your commander in blue is not too shabby either

While it isnt strictly difficult to put a big creature into play, support several smaller creatures, or load up a graveyard, there are actually enough available flicker commanders that deliver easier payoffs that we dont actually have to do any of these things

Wurmcoil is great at providing sufficient life to keep you alive through most circumstances and is hard enough to kill that you can rely on it far more than you can with Baneslayer to be gaining you that life
