It would be a very on point deck if "Call for Backup" meant tutoring up creatures that keep your creatures alive, but running a ton of tutors wouldn't really fit the "precon-esque" environment, such decks are too consistent and will just overrun (get it) other precon-esque decks
MeriaMeria and her myriad of cheap trinkets are going to love slugging down life totals, as will any decks focused on cantrips or cheap critters
I could see this deck being a strong shell with the right tuning and card selection, just as long as youre in pods with creature decks

And I can play Auratog, and give him +2/+2 each time I sacrifice Rancor, and then draw a card for each sacrifice by replaying Rancor for a single green mana
