Like I said, I think both Carmen and Clavileno are about equal in a Vampire Aristocrats deck

At the beginning of that combat, untap all creatures that attacked this turn

Each one is a mono-colored deck with a commander pitched around simple themesfour of the five are typal decks, and the fifth is just artifacts

Its downside is that it cannot answer expensive things well, and you need to be multi-coloured to take advantage of it, but in both Modern and Legacy that isnt an issue as expensive cards arent played as much and most decks are naturally multi-coloured due to the manabases available in these formats
