We have other ways to add +1/+1 counters to our creatures: Shaile, Dean of Radiance adds counters while also easily triggering Breena, Orzhov Advokist gives everyone counters but they can't attack us, Guardian Scalelord puts a counter while acting as recursion, but I especially love Noble Heritage which acts like an even better Advokist if our commander is out

While this is something that every Commander deck should be prepared to do, completely invalidating what a deck is trying to do is in its own right creating a non-fun experience for at least one party

Use removal like Anguished Unmaking or Despark to take out blockers or scary combo pieces

Plus the cards I didnt have (mainly some goblin lords needed to pump up the goblins) were rather cheap
