Others like Pacifism and Dissipate I play with now, and then there is Dwarven Miner, easily the best land destruction card out there

Similarly, if a creature cast with evoke changes controllers after it enters the battlefield but before its sacrifice ability resolves, it will still be sacrificed

That's a nice way to keep things in play, but not really an effect to write home about
